plomyPEX pipes >> Description
plomyPEX

plomyPEX is the trademark of crosslinked polyethylene pipes (PE-Xa) produced by PLOMYPLAS Group.

plomyPEX pipes are manufactured via peroxid method resulting in a superior crosslinking polyethylene pipe compared to PE-Xb (Silane method) and PE-Xc (radiation method). PE-Xa means the degree of crosslinking reaches around 85%, resulting in a more uniform product with no weak links in the molecular chain.

The dimensions (DNx℮) of plomyPEX pipes for the plomyCLICK system are (in mm): 16x1.8, 20x1.9, 25x2.3, 32x2.9

plomyPEX pipes are specifically designed for the plomyCLICK system and are available both in straight lengths and coils and in various lengths.

Key benefits:

PE-Xa is the material coming into contact with water and is suitable for drinking water. It does not alter the organoleptic properties of water.
Reliability. All system (pipes, fittings and system made by pipes and fittings) certified by the European certification body AENOR.
Maximum crosslinking degree. PE-Xa has the highest crosslinking degree among all crosslinked polyethylenes.
Minimum bending radius for each diameter as compared to the rest of pipe types used for the same purposes (even other PE-X pipes)
Easy to install. No welding or mechanical tools needed. The push-fit connection system makes it economical and easy to install.
High durability. Service life in excess of 50 years. PE-Xa is resistant to freezing and to aggresive water and soils.
Maximum flexibility and lightness, which makes it easy to handle and transport. Flexibility reduces the number of joints required, thus saving on time of installation.
Low coefficient of thermal conductivity (0,35 W/mK) which reduces heat losses, thus saving on fuel. PE-X pipes are therefore outstanding heat insulators.
No maintenance required.
Heat memory. If the pipe is crushed during installation, it can recover its original shape by insufflating hot air (130 ºC approx.) and then be re-used.
Electrical properties. It is not a conducting material and is contaminant-free.
Condensation-free. The condensation problems so common in copper pipes are practically eliminated with plomyPEX PE-Xa pipes
Lightness reduces the number of flanges required during installation, thus speeding up the whole process.
Low loudness. The flexibility of the material largely reduces the transmission rate of acoustic waves and also avoids water hammer. Noise is thus reduced and water flow speed is increased. Expansion and contraction noise traditionally associated with rigid pipe is virtually eliminated.
The material is resistant to low and high temperatures and scarcely sensitive to thermal expansion.
Free of metal contaminants.
Scale build up and other deposits are avoided due to its small roughness length, thus guaranteeing stable water flow rates.
